Dr. Fred G. Fedok attended the University of Pittsburgh where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1975 after four years of study. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Pennsylvania State University in 1979. Dr. Fedok completed his postgraduate internship at the Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles in 1980. He then completed his general surgery and otolaryngology - head and neck surgery training at The Pennsylvania State University between 1985 and 1989. During his head and neck surgery training, Dr. Fedok developed a strong interest in plastic surgery of the face, head, and neck. He pursued his interest and completed a year of specialized fellowship training with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Birmingham, Alabama at the McCollough Plastic Surgery Clinic during 1990-1991. His entire experience was in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the nose, eyes, face, head, and neck.
Since Dr. Fedok's return to Pennsylvania resuming his academic practice, he has been practicing and actively involved in teaching facial plastic and reconstructive surgery to the residents at the Hershey Medical Center of the Pennsylvania State University where he holds the appointment of Chief and Professor of Surgery, Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. As a Fellow in the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Fedok is actively involved as a member on several national committees, and lectures on a national and international level. He has published numerous articles and book chapters on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is currently a Fellow and Member of the following: American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, North American Skull Base Society, Society of University Otolaryngologists, The American College of Surgeons, The Pennsylvania Medical Society, The Dauphin County Medical Association, and The American Medical Association. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and The American Board of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Fedok has an innovative and thriving practice in cosmetic surgery that is centered at The Facial Surgery Center at 101 Erford Road in Camp Hill, Pa. He is part of University Aesthetic Surgical Specialists. In the relaxed atmosphere of the Facial Surgery Center the staff strives to develop a rapport with each patient in order to best meet their personal needs. If a patient has questions regarding the consultation, preoperative information, or follow-up treatment, the office medical personnel respond in a personal, professional, and confidential manner. The staff is concerned with each patient's well being and happiness, and do their best to reduce any pre- or postoperative anxieties.
