About Dr. Fedok 
Dr. Fred G. Fedok is the Past President of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). Dr. Fedok had previously served as a Director-at-Large and as the Group Vice-President for Education on the Board of the AAFPRS. The AAFPRS is the world’s largest specialty association for facial plastic surgery, representing more than 2,700 facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons throughout the world.
Dr. Fedok is the founder of Fedok Plastic Surgery, an innovative and thriving multi-faceted cosmetic surgery practice, and has been recognized by his peers with the following positions:

Dr. Fedok is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He is a Fellow and Member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the American College of Surgeons and the American Medical Association and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama . He is also a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners. He has previously served as the Chairman of The Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Education Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery (2006-2013) and has been the AAFPRS Surgical Specialty Governor to the American College of Surgeons Board of Governors. He has served multiple terms on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He was Chair of the Surgical Committee (2017) and President of the medical staff at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in 2018.
Dr. Fedok lectures throughout the year on the national and international level. He has published numerous articles and book chapters on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as a surgical textbook on minimally-invasive and office-based cosmetic surgery procedures.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1975, Dr. Fedok went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Pennsylvania State University in 1979. He completed his postgraduate internship at the Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles in 1980 and began practicing in the field of emergency medicine through 1985. Dr. Fedok then returned to the Pennsylvania State University to complete his general surgery and otolaryngology – head and neck surgery training in 1989. To further pursue his interest in facial plastic surgery and elevate his training, he completed a year of specialized fellowship training with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Birmingham, Alabama between 1990 and 1991. His experience focused on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the nose, eyes, face, head and neck.
Dr. Fedok returned to the Pennsylvania State University Medical Center after fellowship, where he practiced for twenty-five years, eighteen of which were as Professor and Chief of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, as well as Director of the Section of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. During his tenure at the University Hospital, Dr. Fedok developed a vast facial plastic surgery practice and directly trained over 50 residents and fellows in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and facial plastic surgery. In addition, he provided operative training and mentorship to hundreds of medical students and residents during his tenure at the Pennsylvania State University. These trainees went on into careers in facial plastic surgery, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery and other surgical fields. He currently serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of South Alabama and as faculty for the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM). Numerous regional, national and international students and surgeons travel to learn from Dr. Fedok each year.
Dr. Fedok is very pleased to have moved his practice to Foley from Gulf Shores, Alabama and will continue to serve Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Fairhope, Daphne, Pensacola, as well as the whole of the Gulf Coast and beyond. His practice spans all areas of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and neck, including nonsurgical techniques using lasers, radiofrequency, chemical peels and fillers. He has extensive experience in the surgical treatment of skin cancer and reconstructive challenges in the head and neck region. In addition, Dr. Fedok has special expertise in facelift surgery, eyelid surgery, fat transfer procedures, cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty, as well as revision rhinoplasty.
